Here is some thoughts on my last Japan trip

My friends and I went to Japan on Dec 23, 2024 to Jan 02, 2025. There were 6 of us. It was quite a hype experience travelling with friends: we got to do lots of fun things together in Japan, being sight-seeing, playing games, etc.

Osaka

Osaka was famous for Dontoburi district, with lots of food and shopping. The streets were lit with billboards and filled with the fragrance of food.

We also managed to do some day trips and visited the outskirt of Osaka, in particular, Nara. The deer there were rather familiar with human presence, and would bow down to ask for food. If food is found on you, the deer would surround you to snatch food.

Kyoto

We did not stay in Kyoto long enough! We effectively had one day in Kyoto, making the stay rather rushed. We did not manage to visit every place we wanted to, so this time I am making a return to Kyoto!

We visited Kyoto imperial palace, but it was at the end of the year that they closed down! So we went around the outside of the palace.

Fushimi Inari was an amazing climb/hike! We climbed to the top to enjoy the view. There were so many people there, and the further we went to the top, the less people there were 🤭. The view on top was magnificent. Hearsay there are 10,000 tori gates at Fushimi Inari.

Gion district was nice, but was rather underwhelming. I did not find anywhere that has the old vibes, similar to the photos uploaded onto Google :(

Tokyo

Tokyo has a wide range of streets to travel to. Lots of city vibes.

I managed to catch a Doraemon pancake snack. It was a really nice treat! Though it was too long ago, so I could not describe the exact taste.
